Had an amazing break! Did a lot more than i even planned! I of course loved having family home for Christmas! we didn't have as big of a Christmas as the Messer family usually does but it was enough! I got to play a piece for Christmas Eve service, I always get nervous and don't want to but then i'm blessed by it amazing how God works! Then the blessing continued when I got a chance to serve my brother and about 27 others for a weekend at Chrysalis! It's one of those deals where it's a retreat where you have a chance to personally encounter Christ and once you've been once you can only return as a server or otherwise known as a "gopher". I attended in the late part of the summer and so my brother was a first timer and i got the chance to be his sponsor and be at his beck and call. probably the only time my brother can demand me to get him something and i'd do it!haha although it opened my eyes to the reality that I need to be more willing to serve others in any situation even when it's someone who is very hard to serve graciously.And what do you know I got the opportunity to serve someone days afterwards, although it was someone easy to serve (since it was my sister) but I got to go with my brother to Oklahoma and watch my nieces for my sister and give her a break and a chance to get some things done!It's amazing how God blesses us even when we don't notice it?!
